Ambos os sites utilizam o framework Prototype (prototype.js) para trabalhar com as funcionalidades AJAX. Pesquisando muito pelo Google, pegando o c\u00f3digo de excess\u00e3o do erro (0x0eedfade), cheguei finalmente \u00e0 causa do problema. Isso acontece provavelmente por um Complemento do Internet Explorer corrompido. No meu caso, o complemento &#8220;QUICKfind BHO Object&#8221; (Objeto auxiliar de navegador) (Iehelp.dll) era a causa do problema. Bastou entrar em Op\u00e7\u00f5es da Internet =&gt; Programas =&gt; Gerenciar Complementos e desabilitar esse complemento para o problema n\u00e3o mais ocorrer. Se esse problema tamb\u00e9m estiver acontecendo com voc\u00ea, tente ir desabilitando os complementos Helpers para ver se volta a funcionar. L\u00e1 tem a atualiza\u00e7\u00e3o do QUICKfind que acabar\u00e1 com esse problema."}
